Help Hair Protein Shake to replace your work out products without the hair loss!

High protein supplements can be highly effective in making sure you get the best out of your workout, but did you know that the supplements you may be taking might actually be accelerating your hair loss!

Whey Protein Isolate is a very popular form of protein supplement, due to the high percentage of protein content it contains. Whey is actually a by-product of the cheese making industry, the liquid left over during processing. This whey liquid is processed to remove all the water and filtered to leave a powder. This powder is Whey Protein Concentrate, with around a 40% protein content. This powder can be further filtered to leave us with a powder that has a 90% protein content called Whey Protein Isolate. The benefits of Isolate are that it will have a lower sugar, lactose and fat content compared to its Whey Protein Concentrate equivalent.

The higher protein content of the Whey Protein Isolate has the potential to be the catalyst for accelerating your existing hair loss. Whey Isolate is more anabolic than Concentrate, which means that your body is more able to digest and absorb the protein quickly. By absorbing the proteins quicker, your body will produce a higher level of testosterone to allow your body to be able to use this protein to repair and build muscle. Higher testosterone production, means a higher level of free testosterone in your system which will eventually be converted to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT in the scalp is what causes genetic hair loss.

Help Hair uses 8g of Whey Protein Concentrate in all of our shakes. This form of protein powder is less anabolic, so will not cause the same spike in testosterone production as other protein powders may do. This is also a lower dose of protein than is normal than in most protein shakes, again so that the protein can nourish your hair rather than to cause further accelerated hair loss.

If you are in a work out routine we recommend taking 1 shake in the morning and 1 shake in the evening during the days you are exercising. The other days you could take the shake 2 x daily or replace it with 1 shake daily(am) and 1 Help Hair vitamin (pm).
We suggest if you want to add some protein to the shake to add 10-16 ounces of milk or add some yogurt or peanut butter which will bring the total protein per serving with the shake = 20 gms per serving.

* 10-14 ounces of milk, or skim milk, or almond milk
* Frozen blueberries or Strawberries or Frozen banana

Directions:

* Add milk to blender.
* Drop in a 1/4 cup of frozen fruit.
* Take a scoop of Help Hair Shake and blend for 2-3 minutes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie - Ingredients:

* 1 scoop of Help Hair Shake- Chocolate
* 10-14 ounces of milk, or skim milk, or almond milk
* 1 tbsp of peanut butter
* 1 frozen banana

Directions:

* Add milk to blender.
* Drop in 1 tbsp of peanut butter
* Add 1 frozen banana
* Take a scoop of Help Hair Shake and blend for 2-3 minutes.
